2015 TASMANIAN FLATWATER SPRINT KAYAK CHAMPIONSHIPS

February 28 and March 1st – LAKE BARRINGTON

INFORMATION BULLETIN

EVENTS

Final schedule of events will depend on entries.

  • Boats:              K1, K2 and K4. There will be boats available for loan. Every effort will be made to ensure that competitors can contest their desired events.
  • Male and Female
  • Age categories:           16 Years: Athletes turning 16 in 2015 or younger;  18 Years: Athletes turning 18 in 2015 or younger; 35+ Years:  Athletes at turning 35 in 2015 or older;  Open
  • Distances:                   200 metres, 500 metres and 1000 metres

DRAFT SCHEDULE

SATURDAY AFTERNOON – 1000 Metres         SUNDAY MORNING – 500 Metres, 200 Metres

ENTRIES

Entries close Wednesday 25th of February

Program will be finalised by Friday 27th of February after which NO RACES WILL BE ADDED

Late entries will be accepted only where a program change is not necessitated.

Competitors must be financial members of Australian Canoeing

ENTRY FEE

$10.00 per person. Pay on the day

TROPHIES/MEDALLIONS

To keep costs to a minimum, no trophies or medallions will be presented

BRIEFING

11.30am on Saturday9.00am Sunday at the Boatshed

CATERING

There will be no kiosk and there are no shops at the Lake. Bring your own food, drinks etc.

ACCOMODATION

Overnight accommodation is available for Saturday at the Lake Barrington Lodge

$25 per person. Beds and mattresses provided; BYO sleeping bag, linen etc.

Full cooking facilities available

Showers require $1 coin
