In January 2016, whitewater paddlers of all ages from across Australia and a large contingent of talented juniors from New Zealand will converge on the Mersey and Forth Rivers for Wildwater Racing and Slalom events.  Planning for the event is well underway and a tentative schedule and venue information can be found via the following link:

The majestic Upper Mersey Valley will be the venue for the 2016 Australian Slalom and Wildwater Championships, followed by the 2015 Australian Schools Championships on the Forth River below Paloona dam.  Two days of water for Rapid Sprints and Slalom training for advanced paddlers will be provided at the Brady’s Lake Whitewater Slalom Course whilst juniors practice on the Forth in preparation for the Schools events.
