The course link can be found at: https://education.paddle.org.au/courses.php?register&eventId=2658 Once completed, participants progress to the Foundation coaching Course (Canoe Polo) which is a blended online and face-to-face course. The course cost is $140 for Paddle TAS members. To register for the foundation course click here: https://education.paddle.org.au/courses.php?register&eventId=2656 Participants will be expected to attend 2 Online Zoom sessions on dates to be confirmed, prior to their face-to-face component. The face-to-face component will be held in Launceston on the weekend of Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 September 2023. The weekend will include a day of theory on the Saturday and a practical day with on-water coaching training and assessment with local polo players. Once complete, participants will need to demonstrate coaching ability and produce a log of 10 hours/ 10 sessions of coaching supervised by a qualified coach at their club. Participants will be assessed in their clubs and then signed off by Brigit Doyle and Paddle TAS. |
It is recommended that participants create a Paddlelog to keep track of all of their paddling and coaching sessions.
Paddlelog can be found at: https://paddle.org.au/education-safety/paddle-log/
Once all course work and assessment are complete, participants will need to obtain a Working With Children Check (if over 18 years of age) and are encouraged to obtain a First Aid Certificate. |
