Flinders Island – Paddling Paradise

Guiding and Skills courses conducted on Flinders Island last weeked will help the community to safely take advantage of the spectacular coastal paddling opportunities around their incredible island. With qualified guides now on the island, recreational opportunities for young people, as well as tourism ventures, can be developed.

Three instructors worked with small groups to develop personal paddling and rescue skills, as well as trip planning and guiding capabilities.

The course was subsidised by the Tasmanian Government through Sport and Recreation Tasmania.
