National Slalom Championships held at Bradys Lake, Tasmania

Tasmania hosted the nationals in early April, with Olympic athletes Tim Anderson and Tristan Carter attending as a part of their preparation for the Paris Games later this year. As a world class whitewater course the natural challenges and features proved to be an electric and exciting event for the athletes, volunteers and crowd in both the Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross disciplines.

We congratulate Kate Eckhardt on her double gold in C1 and K1 classes and Claire Clements for her triple bronze in C1, K1 and Kayak Cross classes.

After the buzz of this event, the Tasmanian State Slalom Technical Committee is looking forward to hosting local and interstate athletes, volunteers and officials again soon at the State Age National Championships at the Forth River in January 3-5th 2025.
