Just on 2 weeks ago has seen the completion of a successful National Wildwater Championships and National selection races on the Mersey River and Brady’s Lake whitewater courses in Tasmania. Thanks goes out to the organising committee of Canoe Tasmania who put together a great event and the many volunteers that made the event run so seemless.

He also won the long course sprint selection race and the Brady’s selection race along with the short classic selection race where he narrowly defeated Matthew French by 3.3 seconds.
In the National Classic Championships however Matthew French prevailed over McIntyre by the narrowest of margins of only 1.9 seconds to take out his third consecutive National Classic title. Matt Dalziel a 4 times National Classic championship from past years showed that age is no impediment as he powered home with a strong performance to take the bronze.
