Paddle About Tasmania – A Guide to paddling in Tasmania

This guide introduces Tasmania’s beautiful and magnificent natural kayaking resources to all who seek to explore them. From our coastlines and estuaries to our creeks, rivers, lakes the variety of paddling that exists in our island state is unrivalled elsewhere and satisfies the needs of the novice to the experienced paddler. Paddle About Tasmania was originally published in 1984 in book form by Paddle Tasmania (formerly Canoe Tasmania) and the Tasmanian Government’s Division of Sport and Recreation. It was written by Sandra Gorter, Robert McGuinness and David Masters with the assistance of members of Tasmania’s canoe clubs. The updated  and expanded information provided here once again draws on the knowledge and experience of members of the Tasmanian paddling community.
