The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has committed their time to volunteer for the paddling community during the nomination period. This individual is not required to have any particular role within any Paddle Organisation but rather to have demonstrated a tireless commitment to the sport, as evidenced through voluntary work at the Club and/or State Paddle Organisation level. Nominees must be a registered member of Paddle Tasmania.
Club Coach of the Year
The Club Coach of the Year Award is presented to any Club Coach, either paid or unpaid, whose athlete or athletes, whether as individuals, as a team or as a team of individual participants, achieve outstanding outcomes during the nomination period. Outcomes need not be limited to competition results but can include outcomes in areas such as participation or inclusion. The Nominee must be a financial member of a Paddle Tasmania.
Instructor/Guide Of The Year
The Instructor/Guide of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has provided outstanding service to paddling in instructing or guiding at any level during the nomination period. The recipient is someone who follows the PA Safety Guidelines, who demonstrates professionalism through their actions and who fosters a greater engagement with paddling. Nominees must be Paddle Tasmania members and have current Paddle Australia qualifications.
Paddler of the year – Olympic
The Paddler of the Year – Olympic Award is presented to an individual who has achieved outstanding performances or excellence in an Olympic discipline in Slalom or Flatwater Sprint (whether at the Olympics or not). Nominees must be a Financial Member of Paddle Tasmania.
Paddler Of The Year – Non-Olympic
The Paddler of the Year – Non-Olympic Award is presented to an individual who has achieved outstanding performances or excellence in paddling outside of Olympic disciplines, which may include excellence in non-competition (i.e. recreational) paddling. Nominees must be a Financial Member of Paddle Tasmania.
Junior Paddler Of The Year
The Junior Paddler of the Year is presented to an individual who has achieved outstanding performances or demonstrated excellence in Paddling whether competitively or recreationally, and may include a member of a Team whose individual contribution, in whatever form, is outstanding. Nominees must be Under 18 years at 30 September and be a Financial Member of a Paddle Tasmania.
Master Paddler Of The Year
The Master Paddler of the Year is presented to an individual who has achieved outstanding performances or demonstrated excellence in Paddling whether competitively or recreationally, and may include a member of a Team whose individual contribution, in whatever form, is outstanding. Nominees must be Over 35 at 1 October and be a Financial Member of Paddle Tasmania.
