This 2 and a half day course takes you through the training required to become a flat water guide / instructor and includes a day of assessment. This qualification is an industry minimum standard for teachers and Outdoor Ed instructors to take people paddling on flat water. Your instructor will lead you through how to instruct flat water paddle techniques, teaching theory, rescues, equipment, trip planning and group management. Your assessment is included in this course and may consist of a number of scenarios in which you can demonstrate your flat water leadership skills and knowledge.

An additional Paddle Australia leadership qualification fee of $170 applies to be registered as an instructor with Paddle Australia for 3 years.
