River Rescue 1 and 2

River Rescue 1

River Rescue 1 covers gear and equipment design, boat-based rescues, throw bagging, basic knots, river swimming and river access and scenarios on Grade 1 – 2 rivers. This course is usually combined with the foundation and fundamentals kayaking course to make the most of your weekend.

Utilising the skills and knowledge from the foundation and fundamentals course you will paddle on moving water (kayaks, packrafts, sit-on-tops), consolidating learning and gaining knowledge on the basics of rescuing yourself and others.  Being able to fall out of your boat is the only prerequisite!

This is  good prep before attending a Level 2 Rescue course.
