Intermediate Kayaking - The Next Step
This three-day course builds on your foundation skills towards making you an independent and confident paddler.
Your instructor will analyse your paddling to refine existing skills and develop new paddling skills to allow you to style it on Grade 2 water and run rivers confidently. You will be introduced to intermediate paddle strokes, improved boat control through transmission, angle and edging, and using river features to assist in making moves on the river. You will have fun practising these skills with a play based focus and using a variety of feedback methods including video analysis to track your progress and set new goals.
This course is for those who have some Grade 1 – 2 river experience and a somewhat consistent roll, wanting to move forward in their paddling by building and refining their skills to paddle confidently on most, if not all, Grade 2 river features.

Course costs – $525 members / $675 non-members
